Thermal (Solar Heating/Hot Water)- This type of Solar Energy uses heat and light from the sun to generate heat.
There are many applications and designs that fall under this category. Most commonly, we install and service systems that generate space and radiant heating for homes and businesses. We also generate most or all of the hot water heating needs for our clients.
Unlike many companies that do only prepackaged domestic hot water (DHW) solar thermal systems, we specialize in complex solar heating systems custom designed for your house. The complexity of systems for solar heating is much more, and the design challenges greater, and it is important to select a company with experience doing more than DHW if you are interested in heating your house with solar thermal energy.
We also have extensive experience with evacuated tube solar collectors, which perform much better in cold conditions if installed correctly (and are critical for effective space heating), and can often install an evacuated tube system that will perform much better in the winter, for the same price as many flat plate collector systems.
